Little Joey, Run was recorded on my first CD in 1992, and was used to raise money for hungry kids for several years by World Vision. The song was written after several months of street ministry in the inner city of Vancouver, BC
In early 2026, Carmen and I had the privilege of ministering in Oaxaca, Mexico. One of the highlights was visiting an orphanage called CAHOPE. It’s led by a young couple who are working with local authorities who rescue kids in very high risk situations. Some from the child sex-trade.
We have now partnered with them through a non-profit society called World Changers Canada. With their help we are raising funds to help with a new vehicle to get these precious little ones to the many Doctor, Dentist, and Counselling appointments, as well as paying for Music/Guitar lessons for the up and coming song writers and performers. Sammie and Julian (Directors) work very hard to rebuild these little lives to have a family that will never leave them, and know a Saviour who loves them, and has big dreams for each of them.
They have a dream to build a housing compound that will be a new home for 200 kids- complete with homes with full time house parents. They have committed their lives to these kids, and our desire is to help however we can.
We speak with them regularly and are planning another trip in early 2027 to help with some projects, and to bring much needed encouragement and aid.
I’m hoping to find 1000 people who would commit $20 per month to help change the world for these precious kids. Please consider helping to change the world for each one of them.
